How Tailsight Works
Three steps turn scattered maintenance records into a schedule your team can use.
From data to a workable schedule
Tailsight brings maintenance records, flight assignments, and parts stock into one model. Its AI applies scheduling logic across your fleet, then produces a plan to approve and export.
Link your data sources
Tailsight connects to your MRO system, ERP, and flight-ops platform through API or flat-file import. Aircraft records, work orders, AD status, and parts stock levels flow in automatically.
AI models the maintenance plan
The engine matches upcoming aircraft tasks with flight utilization, crew availability, and hangar capacity. It considers regulatory deadlines, expected parts lead times, and your priorities to produce candidate schedules.
Review, approve, export
Planners view the proposed schedule on a calendar. Drag items to adjust them, override the AI, or approve the plan as shown. Export it to your system or share it with MRO and flight-ops teams.
No system replacement
Tailsight works alongside your current MRO software. There is no migration, data conversion, or mechanic retraining. It reads existing data and writes back schedule updates only.
Source systems include AMOS, TRAX, Corridor, and any platform supporting standard CSV or REST. Custom connectors support bespoke fleet setups.
What the engine checks
Each scheduling run weighs four constraint families at once.
The engine tracks ADs, service bulletins, and aircraft cycle or calendar limits. It flags a schedule that could miss a deadline before that miss occurs.
Maintenance windows fit around committed routes. The engine identifies slots that reduce disruption to revenue service.
The plan accounts for base slots, tooling limits, and licensed engineer coverage. It will not assign more aircraft to a station than that station can handle.
Stock levels and supplier lead times are checked before a task date is confirmed. If a part may be unavailable, the schedule moves or flags procurement action.
Continuous scheduling
Replan when plans change
If an unexpected defect grounds an aircraft or a delay moves a maintenance window, Tailsight reruns the schedule automatically. Planners see the revised plan with changed items highlighted.
Fleet trends
Fleet utilization and component wear data accumulates over time. Tailsight highlights emerging patterns before they develop into AOG events.
Planners stay in control
The AI assists with scheduling but does not make decisions. Planners can override every task, and each override is logged for review, including what changed and why.
Audit records
Every schedule version, approval, and override receives a timestamp and attribution. Export the decision history for an authority audit in just a few clicks.
