1. Introduction
Tailsight, Inc. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates gotailsight.com and the Tailsight AI maintenance scheduling platform, together called the "Service." The platform reads fleet maintenance records, aircraft operational data, and flight schedules submitted by airline operators and MRO teams, then generates maintenance schedules, identifies airworthiness directive deadlines, and supports planning decisions.
This Privacy Policy describes the personal information and operational data we collect, how we use it, and your available choices. It covers information collected through the Service and through direct communications.
We are located at 50 Liberty Drive, Suite 400, Boston, MA 02210. Contact us at [email protected].
2. Information Collected
2.1 Information You Provide
We collect information you submit directly, including:
- Contact details (name, email, phone) from inquiry forms, early access applications, or communications;
- Company and operational details you choose to share, including airline, fleet size, role, and scheduling tools;
- Messages you send to us.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit gotailsight.com, we collect limited technical information automatically:
- IP address and approximate city or region;
- Browser, operating system, and device class;
- Pages visited, referring URLs, time;
- Cookies and similar identifiers (Section 5).
2.3 Children's Data
gotailsight.com is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child provided information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
2.4 Customer Operational Data
Customers may submit fleet and maintenance data, including aircraft registration identifiers, maintenance logs, component tracking entries, airworthiness directive and service bulletin references, maintenance intervals and check windows, parts inventory and lead times, and flight schedules. The account holder submits this data, which we process on the customer's behalf to generate scheduling outputs. We do not treat it as personal information about individuals unless it incidentally includes maintenance personnel contact details.
We do not use customer-submitted fleet or operational data to train AI or machine learning models without the account holder's explicit written consent. We process it only to produce the scheduling outputs, compliance reports, and planning materials requested by the customer's account.
3. Information Use
We use collected information to:
- Answer inquiries and provide requested Service information;
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Service and scheduling engine;
- Process early-access applications and onboard customers;
- Send service updates and marketing communications where permitted by law;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or abuse;
- Meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information for monetary value. If state law treats an advertising arrangement as a "sale" or "share," see the applicable state section below.
4. Information Sharing
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers working for us, including cloud hosting, email delivery, and analytics providers, under confidentiality terms limiting data use;
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property;
- A successor in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell personal information to third parties. We share customer operational data, including fleet records and maintenance logs, only as needed to operate the Service for the customer.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to run the site, remember preferences, and measure use. See our Cookie Policy for details and choices.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information as needed for the purposes in this Policy, legal or accounting duties, and dispute resolution. Inactive marketing contacts are purged after 24 months. Server access logs remain for 90 days, then are aggregated and anonymised.
We retain customer operational data during the active subscription and for 90 days after closure so customers can export it, then delete it. Customers may request earlier deletion at [email protected].
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards intended to protect personal and customer operational data, including encryption in transit and at rest, per-tenant isolation, least-privilege access, and audit logs for schedule changes. No system is perfectly secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
8. Your General Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete information and limit certain processing. Email requests to [email protected]. We respond within the period required by applicable law.
